    Simple Crochet Wristlet/Clutch

    Simple Crochet Wristlet/Clutch

    This is a free pattern for a simple crochet
    wristlet or clutch that you can make in a
    few hours.

    1-skein of yarn (the example is a wool/silk blend and ribbon yarn)
    1-I crochet hook
    1-large eye needle(to weave end and sew on button)

    ch 21
    Row 1: sc in 2 ch from hook and sc in each ch until end, ch 1, TURN.
    Row 2-30: sc in first sc, sc in each sc until end, ch 1, TURN.
    Row 31: Draw loop through first 2 sc, YO, Draw through 3 loops on hook (Sc2tog)(this decreases your stitches) sc in each sc, last 2 sc Sc2tog, ch 1, TURN.
    Row 32-40: First 2 sc Sc2tog, sc in each sc, last 2 sc Scotog, Ch1, TURN (until row 40 has 2 sc left), Fasten off.

    Fold 1 row to match row 30 and sl st together, sc along edge of rows and sc 3 (in same st) in each corner, continue up the third side, Fasten Off).

    Sl St to Row 31 and sc in along edge of Row 32-40. At row 40 ch 7 and sc in along the edge of each row of the opposite side, Fasten Off.

    Sew button on front with the yarn or thread.

    **For wristlet: ch 40, sc in each ch, ch 1, TURN. sc in each sc, Fasten off. Sew the ends to the inside of the bag.
