    Blogging about Blogs

As you can probaly tell I am fairly new to the blogging world but I am really coming to like it. I especially like reading other peoples blogs and getting ideas of what to blog about. I am not saying that I am copying their topics but getting a better understanding of what I can blog about. For the longest time I thought blogging was about just writing your feeling for everyone to read, but now I am learning that blogging is much, much more than that.

Blogging can be about your business, your family, your life, your hobbies or anything else that interests you. When you blog about your personal likes and dislikes you are opening up your world to those who have the similar interests and it can be comforting to make new friends.

You can also blog about things that you want to teach others. What you teach can be a valuable tool for those who are a novice or just want to learn something new. So in the comfort of your own home you can be a teacher.

Anyone can blog and so can you!

***I am starting an etsy blog list on my blog please leave a comment with your blog link if you are interested in being on my list.

One A Day Challengers-My New Etsy Friends

The one a day challenge started out about 3 weeks ago and has become an everyday need in my life. This is a challenge that we (fellow etsyians) create one item a day and list that item. The challenge has become an encouragement for each of us, professionally and personally. As we have our ups and downs with our business and our personal live we can turn to each other for help and friendship. I love that we have never met and we are becoming so close. I would love to keep this challenge going or at least keep our friendship going. Every morning I look forward to talking to these great and creative people! I want all of you to get to know us to and it is never to late to join us!

Here is our starter and leader: Bittersweets

She makes absolutely adorable angry foods that anyone would adore and love to have around there house or in there car to make them happy! Be sure to check out her store!

    Happy Days Ahead

Things in my life seem to be heading in a great direction right now! I started a new job and it may not be exciting but it is great to get out of the house and make some money. I miss by baby girl while I am there but we both need a few hours away from each other, for both of our sanity! I am making great friends with my Bittersweets One a Day Challenge. This has been great for me and my motivations. These women I have never met keep me going and wanting to just create the art, not the sale!

A miracle even happened this week the love of my life and I started talking again. We talked like we used to and it felt so good but so scary. I just don't want to get hurt again. If I don't try I'll never know.

So here is to a good week!!

    Respect Each Other as Artist

So, I am not that great at taking criticism and today was especially hard. I created a new shop- htttp:// which will feature my diaper cakes. I asked for some critiquing on my shop (ie pictures, lighting, banner, etc.) and the next thing I know I was being bashed for creating diaper cakes and selling them on etsy. Now I disagree with all the people out there who say that making diaper cakes is not an art. I am taking items (yes commercial) and making them look nothing like what they are and they are still able to be used afterward. If we are going to bash that then what is next my photography because I just took a picture. During my years of as an art student (5 and still going) I have been taught that art is in the eye of the beholder. What is art to me maybe rubbish to you.

This is my art so please respect it and I will respect you. As artists and crafters we need to come together not tear each other down.

This is not to be taken as negative I am just trying ask everyone, artist or buyers, remember we are all human and that you can be honest without hurting people. It is hard to give criticism but even harder to receive it. Just be respectful and we can all get along in this already harsh world.
